OPERATING SYSTEM ANNOUNCED

NDi have officially announced the development of their new operating system, which will provide power, flexibility and ease of use to the user.

Named, 'Nemphis', it will put massive pressure on competitors, as many features overpower their products, leaving the customer an excellent, low-cost platform on which to run their applications, develop software, and be creative.

A NEW WEB BROWSER IS NEAR

NDi are negotiating with a software company in to bring you their Arachne web browser in our operating system. For more information on the web browser, please visit the web site of its developers, http://www.naf.cz/xch/. We'll bring you more news as it comes.

BECOME A DEVELOPER FOR NDi

NDi have space for a limited number of new developers on the New Dimension International Development Team. While there is no necessity for actual qualifications, we expect a lot from developers on the team. If you're interested, or you just want to help out, the language we develop in is Q, or Quick, Basic. TESTS RUNNING SMOOTHLY

The latest tests carried out during pre-alpha development have run perfectly, that's good news for those of you who are wanting to get hold of a copy of it, as the less problems there are, the less amount of time that will need to be spent in Beta testing.

The tests, based on build Pre-Alpha 0 of the Nemphis Operating system, proved that multitasking will run extremely efficiently.

GET READY FOR BETTER GRAPHICS

The development of Nemphis is expect to change from around March 21st as the use of new testing equipment begins. This will enable us to integrate SVGA support into the interface, for a higher resolution and more colours.

Resolutions of up to 1280x960 are expected to be available on supportive systems, while less up-to-date monitors will be able to display the Nemphis interface of 640x480, in a 256 colour mode.

Note that these figures are currently indefinite, but should be roughly accurate.
